The Sugar Mommy started in a modest kitchen from a young Filipina stay-at-home mom with a very supportive husband and an adorable son, who made and sold her goods in and out of Sacramento City amid the pandemic.

The essence of The Sugar Mommy is the “Taste of Home” where premium quality pastries warm the heart, soul, and of course your belly.

  • Meet April

    Our Humble Beginning

    When April migrated with her son to be with her husband in the United States in 2019, She landed her 1st job as a Breakfast Attendant in a Hotel in Sacramento.

    Due to the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, the hotel industry took a big hit, and April was relieved from her work in the company. Being the strong woman that she is, April took this as an opportunity to learn new skills, and that was baking.

    It was a blessing in disguise as she realized that this was her opportunity to grow business in the comfort of home with the help of her very supportive husband. Her delicious bread and pastries became popular that she eventually needed to rent a commercial kitchen to accommodate her orders and pursue her dream for her family.

    She’s indeed a sweet as sugar mommy.
